These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of automotive diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services by Torque Precision ("we," "our," or "us") to clients ("you" or "your"). By engaging our services, requesting estimates, or authorizing work, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with service arrangements. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Torque Precision.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
We provide automotive diagnostic evaluation, scheduled maintenance, and repair services for passenger vehicles. Services are performed by qualified technicians using professional equipment and following industry-standard procedures.
All work requires explicit authorization from the vehicle owner or authorized representative. We provide written estimates for non-emergency work exceeding S$100. Authorization may be provided in writing or verbally (telephone), with verbal authorizations documented in our records.
If additional issues are discovered during service that were not apparent during initial evaluation, we will contact you before proceeding with work beyond the original authorization. Emergency safety repairs may be performed without prior authorization if you cannot be reached and the vehicle presents an immediate safety risk.
We reserve the right to decline services for vehicles with conditions that present safety risks to our staff, require specialized equipment we do not maintain, or involve work types outside our professional capabilities.
All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (S$). We accept payment by cash, NETS, credit card, and bank transfer. Payment is due upon completion of services before vehicle release.
Written estimates are valid for 30 days from issue date. Final costs may vary from estimates if additional work is authorized, parts prices change, or actual labor time differs from estimated time. We will notify you of cost variations exceeding 10% of the estimate before proceeding.
Diagnostic evaluation fees are payable regardless of whether subsequent repair work is authorized. Diagnostic fees may be credited toward repair work performed within 30 days of evaluation.
Parts are priced to include sourcing costs, warranty support, and handling. Prices reflect current market rates and may fluctuate based on supplier pricing changes.
Unpaid accounts over 30 days may incur storage fees of S$30 per day. We reserve the right to exercise a mechanic's lien on vehicles with unpaid balances as permitted under Singapore law.
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle's history, previous repairs, and current symptoms. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect diagnostic accuracy and repair recommendations.
Remove valuable personal property from your vehicle before service. We are not responsible for personal items left in vehicles. Our liability for vehicle contents is limited to S$100 unless valuable items are specifically disclosed and accepted for safekeeping.
You must disclose known mechanical issues, previous accident damage, or modifications that may affect service work. Failure to disclose relevant information may void warranties and affect our ability to diagnose issues correctly.
You agree to retrieve your vehicle within three business days of completion notification. Extended storage beyond this period may incur fees.
Parts installed carry manufacturer warranties, typically ranging from 12 to 24 months depending on the component and supplier. Warranty coverage is subject to manufacturer terms and excludes wear items such as brake pads, wiper blades, and filters.
Labor performed carries a 90-day warranty from completion date. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not extend to new issues unrelated to the work performed or damage from subsequent events.
Warranties are void if: subsequent work by other facilities affects the repaired system, the vehicle is involved in an accident, the vehicle is used for racing or commercial heavy-duty applications, or recommended follow-up maintenance is not performed.
Automotive diagnosis involves testing and analysis based on available symptoms and data. We make reasonable efforts to identify root causes accurately, but some intermittent conditions may not manifest during evaluation periods. Diagnostic services do not carry warranties for accuracy of findings.
Services are provided "as is" without guarantees of specific outcomes. Automotive repair involves inherent uncertainties, and we cannot guarantee that all issues will be resolved through any specific repair approach.
Our total liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that is the subject of the claim. We are not liable for consequential damages including but not limited to: loss of vehicle use, towing costs, rental vehicle expenses, lost wages, or business interruption.
We are not liable for pre-existing vehicle conditions, latent defects not discoverable through reasonable inspection, or issues that develop after service completion from causes unrelated to our work.
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to: parts supply disruptions, natural disasters, government restrictions, or utility failures.
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations with less notice or no-shows may incur a S$50 booking fee.
You may cancel authorized work before we begin. Once work has commenced, you are responsible for labor performed and parts ordered specifically for your vehicle.
Refunds are provided if we cannot complete authorized work due to parts unavailability or technical limitations. Refunds for completed work are at our discretion and typically limited to situations where work demonstrably failed to address the authorized repair objective.
We encourage clients to contact us directly regarding any service concerns. Many issues can be resolved through discussion and clarification of expectations.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action. Mediation costs are shared equally between parties.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any legal proceedings must be brought in Singapore courts.
Services are provided in accordance with Singapore's Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and other applicable consumer protection regulations.
Diagnostic procedures, testing methodologies, and technical documentation developed by Torque Precision remain our intellectual property. Service records provided to clients may not be reproduced for commercial purposes.
Collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on data handling practices.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to our website or notification to clients. Continued use of services after changes indicates acceptance of modified terms.
For services already authorized before terms changes, the terms in effect at authorization time will apply to that specific service.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
These Terms and Conditions, together with service estimates and authorizations, constitute the entire agreement between you and Torque Precision regarding services provided. These terms supersede any prior verbal or written agreements.
